My Mom loves flowers.
She takes childish delight at every bloom and blossom she encounters.
Even bushes and unusual leaves get her love and praise.
Being a newcomer to Oregon, every street corner has a new offering.
Taking a walk with my Mom makes me appreciate simple things.
As if each breath of fragrance inhaled makes life more joyful.
More appreciated. More satisfying.
Simplicity.
While I’m worrying about bills and plans, Mom looks for the next bouquet.
As it should be…
The next bouquet. Thank you, and thinking of you…
Kel – can’t wait for September!
I can picture you walking with your mom. My husband’s mom stayed with us for several months this year. She would quietly stand on our back deck to watch the animals and birds in our yard. She reminded me to slow down and just be. There was a hawk every morning “showing her babies how to fly”. I think I would have missed it! Take good care Dear Mona.
Tina – sweet! So true about slowing down and soaking in more of the good stuff… xoxo
