Finding myself in whine-mode too often of late, I’m determined to think sunny thoughts in tune with the amazing and unusual June weather we have been relishing in Oregon.
1. A former student of mine from Russia is using my tongue-twisters for the English lessons she now teaches. Can you quickly say: lilly-livered Lilian lisps similes while sillily listing soliloquies?
2. Survivor Day is coming up next week at Henry Hagg Lake and we have 70 people potentially joining the fun. Bring on the kayaking, cooking out and catching up!
3. My niece, Sabine, turns 18 in six days while my new great nephew, Ezra, is one month old today. So thankful for family…
4. I am blessed to be going on an incredible adventure this summer to Australia and New Zealand with my niece, Colie and sister-in-law, Jane. I never thought I would actually get to check that item off my bucket list.
5. Psalm 136:7 “To him who made the great lights, His love endures forever… the sun to govern the day, His love endures forever…”
