The Teapot

They come in all shapes and sizes – they purpose to serve – and what they bring forth comforts and soothes.

The chipped ones work as well as the pristine – and no one cares about their color – what matters is what is within.

They are poured out and left empty – but can be refilled – only a little worse for wear as the years go by.

But if they are dropped… they could shatter – and the pieces may not be big enough to put back together.

The craftiest tea maker wouldn’t be daunted – the beautiful ceramic could be repurposed – for a mosaic or other work of art.

For that is what we all are – works of art – formed and created by a Master Craftsman who knows our purpose despite our pain – if only we would let Him fill the empty and shattered spaces…
